Our Review:

ReCharge has emerged as the leading subscription app for Shopify Stores. A solid API, integrations with dozens of other apps, and excellent customer service make them a reliable app.


Email – Klaviyo

Our Review:

Being a great email service provider (ESP) is tough to pull-off for both small and enterprise level clients. It’s Klaviyo’s excellent integration with Shopify and other apps that makes them stand out from competitors like Cordial, Sailthru, SendGrid, and Bronto.


SMS – Postscript

Our Review:

Comparably new to the app marketplace – Postscript does what it markets and does it well. Run by a couple of sharp founders, Alex and Adam, Postsript can be set up in under 10 minutes. They are compliant in the ways they recommend gathering phone opt-ins, have effective automation tools powered by Shopify’s API, easy customer segmentation, and can provide you with instant value to supplement marketing.


Customer Service – Gorgias

Gorgias is a helpdesk (help center or customer support) for Ecommerce stores that allows your customer service team to manage all of your support in one place. Top Shopify stores use Gorgias to reduce ticket first response time and increase the efficiency of their customer support teams.”

Our Review:

Fast moving competitors to Zendesk, Gorgias is aiming to gain market-share by providing easier onboarding, quick Shopify integration, and including crucial customer data like subscription info from ReCharge and Loyalty points from Smile.io.

Where they are falling short so far is data & analytics. Pretty limited compared to Zendesk, but the focus of incorporating other Shopify apps into the user view is a big advantage. If they can move quickly on developing better data visualization than Zendesk – then Gorgias would be a no-brainer.


Loyalty – Smile.io

“Your customers become more valuable the more they shop and engage with your brand. A rewards program gives you an easy way to encourage the behaviour that builds emotional connections and customer loyalty.”

Our Review:

Spreading happiness is ingrained in this company. From their name, “Smile.io” to how they greet new clients (by sending a personalized welcome message full of genuine smiles). Smile.io runs great out of the box, but their API, custom events, and integration with Shopify Flow make Smile a great app for a custom Loyalty Program.
